- Updated through on-line information from Bob Alder. -- This organ survived two tsunamis (1946 & 1960) in its second home, the Hilo Theatre. The original 3 manual console was destroyed in the 1960 tsunami. The pipes and chests were reinstalled in a Honolulu home with a replacement 2 manual console. It was given back to the Palace Theater for reinstallation as part of the Palace restoration project. It has been rebuilt, reinstalled and enlarged with pipes, chests and the 4 manual Robert-Morton console from the Waikiki Theatre. When finished, this organ will have 20 ranks plus tuned percussions and non-tonal traps. (Database Manager. 2008-08-11)
